The Journey
Johnson Rays is a Nigerian-born Afrobeats and Reggae Gospel artist, known for his uplifting messages and infectious melodies that bridge faith and modern sound. With a seamless blend of gospel, Afrobeats, and reggae influences, his music carries a powerful message of hope and resilience.
He made his mark with his debut album Belief (2023), a heartfelt project that introduced his spiritually rooted sound. In early 2024, he followed up with the motivational single Motivate, an inspiring track that encourages listeners to keep pushing forward regardless of challenges. This was followed by the release of the God Did EP (2024), a bold testament to God’s grace, combining rhythmic Afro-gospel vibes with uplifting messages of faith.
Inspired by artists like Kirk Franklin and gospel-reggae pioneer Papa San, Johnson Rays creates music that transcends borders and touches hearts. He is driven by a mission to motivate and inspire the world through sound—a reminder that with unwavering belief in God, all things are possible.
